Why do you women think if you have gained weight its all muscle?

Dont you people know you lack testosterone and cant build much muscle.I am not saying you cant build muscle at all.I am just saying you women wont look like a pro bodybuilding women if you do weights.Also you have to juice hardcore to look like that.I seen this tons of questions asked by women that they are gaining weight on low calories and the people who answer say its muscle.If you know a lot about it then explain.Also how in the word does someone gain muscle on a calorie deficit?.

how to become a women bodybuilder?

I need advise on women bodybuilding I want to star but don’t know how can any one recommend any thing a book or wed site

You should begin slow.
Check out the gyms in your area and see if they have an experienced coach.
Once you resign yourself to the workouts your body will tell you what’s what.
Don’t expect miracles. It will take some time, weeks to a few months before the coach gives you the green light for the big tournaments.
Good luck. Perhaps we’ll see you in the Olympics in the future.

Yeah, they are very attractive. Female body builders are great in my opinion, so long as they retain a feminine physique. Clearly, the ladies on that site do not possess some of the "manly" features that some fitness models obtain.


Whats the difference between woman’s fitness, figure, bodybuilding training and competing?


Body building is "weight training". Women’s fitness is generic to cover many activities to help keep women fit. Figure is specific workouts to improve the "shape" i.e. "sculpt" the body. Competing is competion.


Any women with favorable attitudes towards Female Bodybuilding?

Hey without the examples of the extreme, I think women with athletic builds and noticeable muscle can be admirable and quite hot!

I like to work out and keep myself toned and I get lots of compliments from both men and women, so I don’t think that’s abnormal. I’m toned, and if I make a muscle you can see it, but I’m very average for an athletic girl. I’m no Olympian.

But fitness women and other gym freaks who diet down to nothing to get "noticeable muscles" are troubled individuals with serious psychological and eating disorders. And women on steroids who want to look like men are troubled individuals with psychological disorders doing irrevocable harm to their bodies. And those bodybuilders and fitness girls who combine steroids with anorexic eating habits simply have a death wish. There’s nothing attractive about any of them, and to encourage them is to encourage these women to lead short sick lives.

I’m assuming that’s not what you mean. I hope not.


Women, would you consider weightlifting/bodybuilding?

Or would you feel that building muscle would violate feminine standards of beauty? Hopefully not because I believe women can have both and roids don’t have to be an option

What drives women to take up professional bodybuilding? Isn’t this akin to men trying their hardest to?

feminise their body by growing breasts and somehow developing curves?

Because bodybuilding reduces fat and increases testosterone, aren’t female bodybuilders diluting their femininity? Are they still able to have children? At least figure competitors still look like women….

Yes, yes and maybe, I agree for the most part.

I think the really full-on female bodybuilders, the ones who take steroids, are those who are in denial about their femaleness. Probably, as young girls, they would have identified with boys much more than other girls. Then, as puberty hits, they would feel ashamed about being weaker than males, and about their breasts, periods etc. So they would go into denial about being female and seek to compensate for that by working out their muscles and bodybuilding.

Can they still have children? Possibly – you can take a lot of steroids and still be a fully-functioning woman – look at Marion Jones for instance, who has had a couple of kids.


Women’s bodybuilding, spirulina, whey, soy, bee pollen, chromium???

So, I have some questions. I’m a 25/F who tries to stay active and eat healthy. I’m thin, and my arms are cut, but my belly, hips, thighs have fat on them. I’m trying to tone them, not necessarily for a 6-pack or anything but I just don’t want belly fat. I ride my bike everyday, and lift weights/do some crunches before bed. Every so often I’l drink a whey protein shake after I lift weights. But what else should I be supplementing to maximize my metabolism and build muscle?? I got some bee pollen but I don’t know what that does…what about Spirulina? Chromium?? Glutamine?? Which is better for women’s muscle building; soy protein, whey protein or spirulina protein?? Your help is greatly appreciated.

The supplement companies r making billions of dollars by saying their supplement can increase ur metabolism, but the truth is, our bodies have a set metabolism and it does nto change much. Yes, during/after exercise and after meals it increases slighlty, and during sleep it decreases slightly (very important to refill energy stores and rehydrate important parts such as the vertebral discs), but other than that, our bodies try very hard (an succeed everytime) to keep it in a certain range. Heavy people will always have a slower metabolism and will always have trouble keeping their weight off and easily gain it back. Skinny people will eventually have a slow metabolism and have trouble keeping the weight off (life sucks huh lol). After about age 30, everything from metabolism to eye sight and brain function decreases a certain percentage per year, so we r all running down hill around 30. So do not waste ur money on supps that try to say they can increase ur metabolism. And esp stay away from the supp that says it decreases cortisol to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cortisol does not cause belly fat, if nething it decreases it (not just belly fat but fat all over the body). Also, it is a very important hormone that keeps us alive every day, if we did not have it we would all die within hours after birth.

As far as protein goes, whey protein is considered the gold standard and has been shown (in studies as well) to help increase protein synthesis and increase muscle mass. It doesnt seem like u want big muscles, but just want to gain alittle bit of muscle. So if u want to take a whey shake after a workout then go for it, but dont do it every so often, u either have to do it or dont do it because it will not help if u do it once in a while. Dont worry about any others like creatine, glutamine, chromium, etc. If u want to take flax oil also then go ahead for that because omegas r extremely important because our body needs them and cannot make them (it can make omega 6 and 9 but only if it has sufficient omega 3). Some say it can decrease fat in our bodies but that has not been proven, however they r still important. If u eat plenty of fish, then do not take too much flax oil because the oil in fish has a good amount of omegas.

As far as exercise, ur doing great from what u say u do so keep that up. However, i would suggest that u start jogging/running/interval training/walking and not do the bike everyday. The bike is great exercise but running burns more caloires. So instead of riding ur bike everyday, put running in place of that2-4 days a week, but do not quit the bike altogether.

For lifting, if ur not doing these already, add in barbell back and front squats (change ur stance up each week u squat), hip abduction and hip adduction machines. These will help add in some muscle around ur thighs which may uptake some fat into the muscle cells for energy use and help decrease some fat around there. However, do not forget that females r genetically predisposed to have more fat around their hips and thighs than men because it is important for child birth. But this doesnt mean u will never have a great looking pair of thighs haha.

Finally, it is impossible to spot reduce (decrease the fat in a certain area but not others) so doing abs, running, eating a certain amount, etc will decrease ur belly and thigh fat. Although, in time it will decrease, so just take ur time, do it right and it will improve.

Your right on track with a female workout partner – it’s a great psychological motivator. As far as doing the same routine goes, there are really no gender specific programs or weight training exercises that are better for one or other of the sexes. Our muscles are made the same and will, therefore, respond, similarly to the same exercise stimulus. Of course, there are a lot of hormonal differences that will affect the outcomes of training but muscularly we are alike.


Is bodybuilding attractive to women?

Why do some women go in for bodybuilding? Don’t they look funny? Do normal guys actually date them?

They probably aren’t good at love making either. A guy who isn’t built like a body builder would be intimidated by such a woman when it comes to makin’ love or she’d beat him to a pulp!

No, it usually depend on what type of guy the girl likes. When you say body building I assume big buff guys. Have you ever noticed that most "players" aren’t "buff". They are just not weak nor buff. In the middle or slightly "under the middle". Muscle is always just a plus, but you don’t need it to get women. Have you ever noticed most "buff" guys aren’t really that good looking? All you really need is know how to talk to the girl.


Bodybuilding or women?

I would rather choose a hulk look over women.What about you people.Being in the gym gives a pleasure which i cant even explain its like something i experience a day yea i love lifting heavy ass weights and getting pumped up.

When you are at the gym you need to focus on your workout, not other people, otherwise you get short changed. But if you see a woman who seems to have your intensity and if you want, you can ask her if she and you could be work out partners.
When I go to the gym (and I am a female), I tune out everything and everyone else. I wear baggy sweats/longer shorts and either t-shirts or tank tops. I look like hell, but I am there to work out, just like you are.


Girls does the fact that more ‘feminine’ looking girls/women are weightlifting/bodybuilding make you want to?

I know that the stereotype people have of girls who participate in strength sports such as weightlifting or go into fitness/bodybuilding are girls who look quite manly and unfeminine but if a girl had muscles or weightlifted who looked like hmm, i don’t know Christina Aguilera or Kelly Clarkson, would you be more inspired to try the aforementioned without thinking it is for those girls who are manly?

I also recently saw a weightlifter named Natalie Woolfolk, She is around 22 or 23 and she is as feminine looking as one of the girls from the show Laguna Beach.

Therefore ladies, would you ever be attracted to such sports knowing that they aren’t always associated with women who look like that murderer from the film ‘Monster’?

I see no lack of femininity if a girl is strong physically. If they look like a female version of Arnie then that might be scary but if a girl still looks like a girl and enjoys her girl-related things, do you think this is okay?

Bodybuilding for women?

I saw photos of a woman bodybuilder and she said that she was 45. She looked like a man. She had huge biceps, huger than an ordinary man has, and a face like a man, rough and red, and a scanty mop of blond hair on top. But I liked her face anyway because it was absolutely wrinkles-free. She had a couple of crow feet, but these anyone has, who laughs. The photo was not airbrushed, you could see that she had large open pores. Now I wonder: is her face so wrinkles-free because of her body building? She mentioned that she was performing, so maybe she simply did something to her face, face lift or what not? Or did it became like this because she exercised, and strained the muscles – as you strain, say, neck, and puff the cheeks when you lift something heavy? Does bodybuilding help to eliminate facial wrinkles?

Well, lets see, I don’t think anyone can really answer. However, lifting would involve some wrinkling of the face. Although, if she is lean, she might not have more vascular skin. Also, some skin care.


What do you think of women who overdo it with the weightlifting and bodybuilding?

What are these ‘bodybuilding‘ women? They look like transexuals.
Are they challenging us men? Should I be The Rock and do a smackdown on them?

I agree they look odd, but you do realize they make up less than 1% of the worlds female population, don’t you?

Also… last time I checked, the male leaders of the world look nothing like The Rock. lol.
